The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho shoots for a takedown but Tenorio saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tenorio tries to close the distance and clinch but Carvalho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A head kick misses from Tenorio.
Carvalho shoots in looking for a takedown but Tenorio manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Carvalho's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Carvalho shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Tenorio wants to get back to his feet.
Carvalho wants to control the pace but Tenorio is squirming around nicely.
Tenorio really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Tenorio is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Carvalho is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Carvalho breaks from Tenorio's wrist control and lands an elbow.
