A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vadim Makritsky! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makritsky scores a takedown into full mount! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Makritsky with a couple of short strikes. Sakers is squirming around, avoiding Makritsky's attempts to control the action. Poor strikes thrown by Makritsky there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Makritsky looking to control but Sakers is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Makritsky sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Sakers can't escape the position.
Sakers holds on to Makritsky as tight as he can, avoiding damage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! That's two minutes gone in the round. Makritsky lands a heavy elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Makritsky throwing strikes here but Sakers is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Sakers is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Makritsky throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Sakers in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Makritsky landing shots from mount. Makritsky is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Sakers goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Makritsky!
