Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Bolda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michal Materla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bolda comes to the cage accompanied by Fett's Vette. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bolda throws a shot from downtown. Materla moves away and avoids it.
Bolda bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Materla blocks a head kick by Bolda.
Materla throws a predictable looking body shot
and Bolda connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Materla clobbers Bolda with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Materla looks to score with a jab to the body but Bolda is just out of range.
Materla steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bolda.

Materla tries a head kick but it misses.

Bolda scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Materla tries to get to full guard but Bolda has control of the leg.

Bolda is really struggling to control Materla but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Josh Bolda.
Bolda tries to score a power double leg takedown but Materla sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bolda somewhat.
Bolda pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Materla misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Bolda counters with a big head kick but Materla shrugs it off.

Materla is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Materla blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Bolda misses with some punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Materla turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Bolda is trying to get back to half guard.
The referee asks Materla politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Materla prefers to stall for the moment though.

Bolda looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Bolda is not content to let Materla control the position.

Materla controlling the action here.
Materla seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bolda does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bolda is looking to improve his position.
Materla perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Let's hope that Materla has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Michal Materla was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Bolda throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Materla counters with a nice low kick that buckles Bolda's knee momentarily.

Bolda shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Michal Materla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Materla thuds a left hand into Bolda's body.
Materla throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Materla rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bolda moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bolda moves in looking to clinch but Materla pushes him off.
Materla lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bolda drops his hands momentarily and Materla takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Materla is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Bolda rather than just go for the knockout.

Materla pounces like a tiger and cracks Bolda with a vicious hook! Bolda is down but not out! Materla follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
