Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vyacheslav Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalashnikov comes to the cage accompanied by Leningrad Cowboys - Those Were The Days. Jackson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. If I cant do it. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Curtis Jackson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vyacheslav Kalashnikov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Curtis Jackson! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalashnikov scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Good shot there by Kalashnikov. Kalashnikov throws a nice outside leg kick. A good leg kick by Kalashnikov. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kalashnikov looks to land a right hand but Jackson moved out of range. Vyacheslav Kalashnikov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kalashnikov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jackson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A jab from Kalashnikov misses. Kalashnikov lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kalashnikov throws a poor cross that misses
and Kalashnikov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kalashnikov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Kalashnikov misses with a hook
letting Jackson counter with a right hand. A punch lands to the side of Jackson 's head but he takes it in his stride. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kalashnikov misses with a straight right. Kalashnikov defending well as Jackson loads up on a big left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jackson is looking to clinch but Kalashnikov is avoiding it.
Kalashnikov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jackson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kalashnikov lands with a nice body punch. Kalashnikov fakes the leg kick and cracks Jackson in the body. Jackson looks gassed! Kalashnikov scores with a punch to the head. Kalashnikov thuds a left hand into Jackson's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Jackson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Jackson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kalashnikov can pounce on him.
Kalashnikov digs a good hook to Jackson's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. That kick from Kalashnikov tenderised Jackson's leg. Jackson is trying to keep his angry face on. Kalashnikov jabs Jackson to the body, keeping him at a distance. Kalashnikov feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Jackson's calf. Kalashnikov's corner calls for a 1-2. Kalashnikov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Curtis Jackson has been cut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalashnikov feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jackson sprawling to the canvas! Jackson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kalashnikov finish him?!
Kalashnikov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kalashnikov drops Jackson with a naaaaasty hook - Jackson is in real trouble here! Kalashnikov dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vyacheslav Kalashnikov! Vyacheslav Kalashnikov retains his heavyweight title!
