Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tatum Banks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Angelez! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angelez wants to clinch up but Banks keeps it at a distance. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Angelez has eaten all the pies! Angelez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Banks is fending him off so far but Angelez persists. Nope, Banks circles away and we're back to standing. Banks tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Angelez is looking to clinch. Banks tries to clinch but Angelez is having none of it. Angelez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Banks tries to roll over but Angelez keeps him under control. Angelez is looking to advance position but Banks won't allow it. Angelez performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Banks is looking for a sweep. Angelez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angelez throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Banks keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Angelez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Angelez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Banks fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Angelez clinches with his opponent.
Angelez lands a body shot. Banks is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Banks wants to break the clinch but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Angelez manages to pull guard.
Banks is looking to stand up but Angelez won't let him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Angelez pushes Banks off and gets back to his feet.
Banks is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Angelez misses with a double jab.
Angelez scores with a head kick.
It looks like Tatum Banks has been cut. A combination from Banks does no damage. Banks throws a low kick, looking for Angelez's leg but Angelez calmly moves out of range. Banks gets tackled into the cage by Angelez. Angelez maintains the clinch. Angelez prevents Banks from breaking the clinch. Angelez stalling the fight.

Angelez gets a takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks trying to control from the bottom.
Angelez works his way into full mount! Angelez stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Angelez has taken the fight to the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Angelez manages to break the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Angelez jumps guard.
Angelez looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Angelez lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Banks! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Angelez is working for a guillotine from mount but Banks frees his head quite easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Angelez dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tatum Banks's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Banks throws a leg kick and Angelez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Banks won't be happy with that. Banks is letting Angelez control him for a moment. Angelez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Banks some visible discomfort.
Banks managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Angelez.
Angelez landing a few strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Angelez passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Banks! Angelez looking to control and managing it successfully. Angelez has control of Banks's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Banks regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Angelez has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angelez stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. A head kick misses from Banks. Angelez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Banks's waist but Banks gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Angelez off to one side. Angelez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Banks shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Angelez eats them both and turns towards Banks to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Banks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Angelez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Angelez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Angelez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Angelez moves nicely into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angelez remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Banks is trying to control Angelez's posture but Angelez avoids it. Dan Angelez has got the better of the ground game so far. Angelez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Banks will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Let's hope that Angelez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dan Angelez. Angelez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Tatum Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Angelez. Angelez rushes Banks and presses him up against the cage. Banks is trying to break free. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Angelez is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Angelez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Angelez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Tatum Banks's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Angelez trying to control the position from guard on top but Banks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Angelez controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Banks trying to keep a closed guard but Angelez is proving a slippery customer.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dan Angelez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Angelez drives through with a takedown into guard. Angelez stands up from guard. Let's bang! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Angelez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Banks is trying to defend but Angelez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Angelez is trying to control the action in half guard but Banks is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Angelez performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Banks is staying active underneath Angelez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Angelez is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dan Angelez wasn't active enough on the ground. Banks is looking to clinch but Angelez is avoiding it.
Banks throws a sloppy head kick and Angelez moves out of range easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Banks looks to land a combination but Angelez avoids it well. Banks misses with a wild combination.
Angelez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Angelez sitting in guard here, content to control. Angelez stands up from Banks's guard - Angelez perhaps looking for a knockout. Tatum Banks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Angelez shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Banks will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Angelez forces his way into half guard. Angelez winds up and cracks Banks with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Angelez landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Angelez takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Angelez connects with a nice short shot to Banks's temple. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Banks is looking to get back to full guard here but Angelez has managed to pass to side control instead. Angelez scores with punches from side control. Angelez takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Banks to pass into mount. Banks tries to buck Angelez off but Angelez takes his back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Angelez keeps control of the position easily here as Banks tries to buck him off.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Angelez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Angelez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
