Ferguson comes into the arena with Flo Rida- 54321 blaring out of the sound system. Jackson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by All the above by Maino. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joshua Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ferguson avoids it really well and circles away.

and Ferguson counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Ferguson looking to finish!


Jackson is rocked!

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Jackson is looking for a triangle but Ferguson pushes his legs off easily.

Ferguson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jackson dives on top into guard.
Jackson won't allow Ferguson to get back to his feet.

Ferguson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Ferguson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jackson regains guard.
Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Ferguson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ferguson is fighting to break Jackson's control of his arms but Jackson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Jackson wants to improve his position but instead Ferguson has moved into half guard.

Ferguson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jackson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jackson!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Ferguson keeps moving.
Jackson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ferguson wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Ferguson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ferguson sprawls well. Ferguson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.

Ferguson pushes Jackson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Ferguson counters with a series of strikes. Jackson will be more careful next time no doubt.
Jackson is still on wobbly legs! Can Ferguson finish him?
Jackson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jackson seems to have recovered his senses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ferguson. That's going to slow Jackson down.
Ferguson scores with a nice body kick.
A punch combination from Ferguson misses.
Ferguson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jackson circles away quickly and effectively.

Joshua Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jackson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ferguson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jackson's guard! Nice work there by Ferguson!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ferguson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Ferguson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ferguson is sitting in close to Jackson's body. Jackson has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Ferguson is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Ferguson is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jackson.
