Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Milton Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mex Ico!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Ico throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ico misses with an uppercut. Knight saw that one coming.
Ico pushes Knight away with a front kick.
Knight takes a swing at Ico's ribcage but misses.
Ico misses with a body shot.
Ico just misses with a punch to the body.
Knight lands a jab to Ico's midsection.
Knight throws a nice looking combination but Ico bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ico pushes Knight away with a front kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ico turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Knight looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Knight walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ico.
Ico avoids the body shot from Knight.
Ico is looking to slow Knight down with leg kicks.
Knight is breathing heavily.
Ico misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ico fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Knight manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Knight has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Knight there as he acknowledges the shot.
Knight is rocked!
Knight drops his hands momentarily. Ico doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Knight staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Knight doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mex Ico!
During a confident post fight interview, Mex Ico thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
