Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lubomir Aleksandrowicz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Christian Morcreft! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aleksandrowicz tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Morcreft closes the distance and clinches up with Aleksandrowicz, looking for a takedown. Morcreft pushes Aleksandrowicz against the cage but Aleksandrowicz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Aleksandrowicz gets a takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Morcreft gets back to full guard.
Morcreft has Aleksandrowicz pulled in close to control his posture. Aleksandrowicz looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Morcreft is controlling Aleksandrowicz's posture. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morcreft can do anything to dispel that myth. Aleksandrowicz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Aleksandrowicz trying to control the position from guard on top but Morcreft is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morcreft not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lubomir Aleksandrowicz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Morcreft has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Christian Morcreft has been cut. Morcreft fails with the takedown. Morcreft gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Aleksandrowicz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lubomir Aleksandrowicz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Morcreft. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Aleksandrowicz closes the distance but Morcreft moves to the side and Morcreft moves into the clinch. Morcreft gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Aleksandrowicz.
Morcreft gets control of Aleksandrowicz's arms and successfully pulls guard. Morcreft will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Morcreft manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Aleksandrowicz gets in close and tags Morcreft with a short punch that almost sends Morcreft to the mat! Oh Morcreft is in big trouble! He turns his back on Aleksandrowicz, trying to create some distance but Aleksandrowicz rushes him, striking wildly and Morcreft goes down! The referee tackles Aleksandrowicz into the cage to end the fight! Aleksandrowicz is one violent man!
