The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hendo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jackson has Hendo in his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hendo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hendo is aware though and is defending well.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hendo.

Jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hendo is just riding it out for now. Jackson eventually gives up the hold.

Jackson has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hendo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jackson.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jay Hendo.
