The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vegas getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
It looks like Alberto Machakos has been cut.
Machakos moves to clinch but Vegas breaks away
and Machakos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A punch combination from Vegas misses.
Vegas scores with a crisp jab that stopped Machakos in his tracks.
Vegas tries to bum rush Machakos with a series of wild strikes but Machakos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sloppy strikes from Vegas. Those never looked like landing.
Machakos tries to clinch up.
Machakos closes the distance but Vegas moves to the side
and Vegas counters with a series of strikes. Machakos will be more careful next time no doubt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Machakos fails with an attempt to clinch.
Machakos with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vegas to score with a decent uppercut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Machakos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Vegas pounces like a tiger and cracks Machakos with a vicious hook! Machakos is down but not out! Vegas follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
