The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Makinwa blocks the leg kick.
Clayton misses with a lunging right hand
and Clayton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Clayton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Clayton.
Clayton lands a nice looking body shot.
Clayton throws a lazy right hand but Makinwa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Clayton goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Travon Clayton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clayton fails in his attempt to clinch.
Clayton misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Makinwa connects with a nice looking jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Clayton.
Makinwa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Clayton on the side of the head.
Clayton is rocked!
Makinwa darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Clayton's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Makinwa before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
