Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Al Holic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Angry Johnny. Holic is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Alcohol. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones moves in looking to clinch but Holic pushes him off.
Holic checks a low kick from Jones.
Jones misses with a body kick.

Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Jones lands with a right to the head.
Jones lands a nice elbow.
Holic is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Holic avoids a wild elbow strike from Jones.
Holic is trying to pull guard but Jones has him pressed against the cage.
Jones tries to land knees in the clinch but Holic avoids the damage to the body.

Jones lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Jones has Holic pressed against the cage, preventing Holic from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Holic tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jonathan Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Al Holic.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Jones obliges.
Jones keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Holic's efforts to push away.
Holic wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Holic is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jones to keep the fight standing.

Jones pushes off an throws an elbow but Holic leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Holic jumps guard but Jones stands there with Holic around his waist. Holic gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Holic jumps into guard, dragging Jones to the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Holic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Holic is tightening it up a little... Jones has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Jones reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Jones taps out! Nice BJJ there by Holic!
