Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Yon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rutger Crax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rutger Crax was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Yon! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rutger Crax! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crax takes one on the button.
It looks like Rutger Crax has been cut. Crax misses with a looping left. Yon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Crax avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Crax misses with a left hand and Yon counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Yon tries a head kick but it misses.
Yon looks to score with a jab to the body but Crax is just out of range. Crax connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Crax dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Yon darts in and clinches Crax up against the cage. Yon misses with an elbow over the top. Crax letting Yon take a breather here. Yon tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Crax's elbow. Yon pulls guard effortlessly. Crax wants to control from the top but Yon keeps moving. Crax stopping the sweep attempt from Yon.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crax is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Yon trying to keep a closed guard but Crax is proving a slippery customer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Yon misses with a head kick.
Crax drops his shoulder and cracks Yon with a huge uppercut! Yon goes down! Can Crax finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action! Yon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Crax won't allow Yon to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yon working for submissions but it's allowed Crax to get to half guard.

It looks like Crax might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rutger Crax. Yon slips a jab from Crax. Yon ducks under a wild hook from Crax. No luck with that takedown attempt from Yon. Yon misses with a combination
and Crax counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Yon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Crax scores with a jab to the head.
Crax throws a lazy right hand but Yon sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Yon looks to land a left hand but Crax moved out of range nicely. Yon throws a big shot that misses. Yon attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Yon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Crax swats him away and circles back towards the center. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Yon with a nice cross. Yon misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Crax.
Crax misses with a left hand and Yon counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Crax misses with a lunging right hand
and Yon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crax feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Crax postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Yon misses with a head kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Yon closes the distance and pushes Crax back into the cage. Crax blocks a body shot from Yon. Yon is working for takedown but Crax is calmly controlling the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rutger Crax dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rutger Crax's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Yon counters with a good low kick that Crax was not able to check. Yon scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Yon moves away from the strike by Crax. Yon thows a body shot but no joy. Yon on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Crax throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Yon makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Crax slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Crax lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Yon goes down and covers up as Crax starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rutger Crax! Rutger Crax is the new heavyweight champion! After the big win, Rutger Crax made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors STAR Nutrition and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
