The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones lands with a right hand.
Jones is looking to clinch.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Nieminen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jones tries to clinch but Nieminen is having none of it.
Nieminen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has Nieminen backing up. Nieminen nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.
Andre Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nieminen tries to move into range but Jones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Nieminen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
