The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bubbles misses the jab.
Ricky Bubbles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bubbles works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Bubbles enables Shamrock to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bubbles manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Shamrock stops Bubbles from standing up.
Bubbles tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Shamrock tries to free his leg and advance position but Bubbles is retaining full guard.
Bubbles is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Horrible takedown by Shamrock or perhaps it was just good defense by Bubbles which made him look bad.

Shamrock uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bubbles.
Shamrock fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ricky Bubbles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Shamrock.
Shamrock ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bubbles misses with a series of wild punches.
Bubbles cracks Shamrock with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Shamrock slips a straight right by Bubbles.
Bubbles waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shamrock.
Shamrock shoots for a takedown but Bubbles saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bubbles scores with a punch to the head.
Shamrock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bubbles swivels and escapes.

Bubbles is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Shamrock is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bubbles sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bubbles catches Shamrock with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricky Bubbles dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Shamrock avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bubbles jabs Shamrock to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Shamrock moves forwards but Bubbles connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bubbles lands with a shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oooooh!!! Bubbles has knocked Shamrock down with a huge combo! Bubbles steps away and waves a wobbly Shamrock back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Bubbles closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Shamrock out cold! Shamrock corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
