Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rampage Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Botello tries a head kick but it misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Botello. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jackson ducks under a wild hook from Botello.
Botello lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jackson's sensitive parts.
Botello misses with a low kick.
Botello drives through and clinches with Jackson against the cage.
Jackson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Botello can't fight it off and eventually Jackson manages to take the fight to the floor. Botello looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson won't allow Botello to get back to his feet.

Botello is refusing to be controlled, as Jackson sits in half guard.
Jackson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Botello with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Jackson is keen to just control but Botello is a slippery customer.
Jackson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Botello's head.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Botello on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson throws a strike aimed at the side of Botello's head but Botello avoids it well.

Botello is not content to let Jackson control the position.

Jackson lands a strong strike to the head of Botello. That's dazed him! Jackson looking to finish here. Botello is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Jackson lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

During a confident post fight interview, Rampage Jackson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
