Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bastien Le Nogue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Hades (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le Nogue comes to the cage accompanied by Scred Connexion - Partis de rien. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hades's choice of entrance music: Bon Jovi: Wanted Dead Or Alive. 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Hades! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Le Nogue is defended easily by Hades. Hades connects with a jab. Hades connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Hades throws out a loose jab but Le Nogue uses good head movement to avoid it. Le Nogue misses with a takedown attempt - Hades sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sam Hades seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Le Nogue fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bastien Le Nogue. That's going to take a lot out of him. A bone on bone clash there as Le Nogue blocks the leg kick.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Le Nogue avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Hades. Le Nogue blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hades. Le Nogue pushes Hades off looking to stand but Hades dives back in and keeps control.

Hades defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Le Nogue. Hades lands a jab to Le Nogue's midsection. A cross from Hades lands. Le Nogue takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Le Nogue looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Le Nogue shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hades pinned against the cage. Hades gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hades fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Le Nogue on the side of the head. Hades's corner calls for a 1-2. He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Le Nogue has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Le Nogue and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Le Nogue looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hades lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Bastien Le Nogue is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hades rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Le Nogue moves out of range and avoids them all easily. And that's the end of the fight! Sam Hades comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hades has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
