The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plouman Snr misses with a leg kick
and Thomas finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Thomas misses with a two punch combination.
Thomas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Plouman Snr defends it nicely.
Thomas tries to clinch but Plouman Snr moves away
and Plouman Snr counters with a leg kick.
Plouman Snr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thomas circles away quickly and effectively.
Plouman Snr throws a hook but Thomas avoids it easily.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown but Plouman Snr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Thomas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Plouman Snr was covering up waiting for the punch and Thomas finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Thomas drops back looking for a leg! Plouman Snr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Plouman Snr manages to kick Thomas off! Thomas jumps back into Plouman Snr's guard.

Thomas stands and throws Plouman Snr's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Thomas wants to control but Plouman Snr is keeping him busy.

Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Plouman Snr manages to avoid it.
Thomas throws a sloppy head kick and Plouman Snr moves out of range easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Thomas.
Luke Plouman Snr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trance Thomas.
Plouman Snr fails to land with a series of punches.
Luke Plouman Snr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Plouman Snr tries to score with a low kick but Thomas moves his leg out of the way.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Plouman Snr lands a left and a right that send Thomas crashing to the mat, dazed. Plouman Snr thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Thomas is rocked!
It looks like Trance Thomas has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thomas walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Plouman Snr! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
