Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Protacio Jawo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin has chosen War - The Sick Puppies as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Protacio Jawo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Nolan Martin!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jawo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Martin.
Martin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Martin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Jawo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Martin.
Martin catches Jawo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Martin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Martin misses with a body shot.
Jawo throws a nice inside leg kick.
Martin fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jawo checks it well.
Jawo throws a shot from downtown. Martin moves away and avoids it.
Jawo checks the leg kick.
Martin defending well as Jawo loads up on a big left hand.
Martin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jawo throws a lazy right hand but Martin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Martin thows a body shot but no joy.
Jawo slips under a jab.
Martin lands a glancing blow to the side of Jawo's head.
Jawo takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jawo checks the leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jawo throws a leg kick which misses Martin's front leg but catches the back leg as Martin tries to avoid it.
Jawo takes a kick to the side of the head.

Martin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jawo was covering up waiting for the punch and Martin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Martin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jawo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Martin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Martin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Jawo is trying to keep Martin in close.
Martin throws an elbow that misses. Jawo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Martin's guard. Nice move by Jawo!

Martin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jawo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jawo trying to control but Martin is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jawo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Martin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jawo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jawo trying to control but Martin is working from the bottom.

Martin has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jawo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Martin.
Jawo creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Martin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Martin is not content to let Jawo control the position.
Jawo throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Jawo working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jawo is looking to take a break and control but Martin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Martin tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jawo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jawo trying to control the position but Martin is working away.
Martin tries to bench press Jawo off him but Jawo keeps the position.
Jawo is looking to take a break and control but Martin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Martin is looking for a sweep.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ground and pound from Jawo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jawo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Nolan Martin will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A head kick misses from Martin.
Jawo wants to clinch up but Martin keeps it at a distance.
Martin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Martin swings for the body but Jawo moves out of range.
A swing and a miss from Jawo.
Martin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Martin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Martin just misses with a punch to the body.

Martin gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jawo throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Martin tightens his grip and picks Jawo up, before dumping him to the ground. Jawo manages to land in guard.
Martin looking to sit in guard and control but Jawo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Martin has his feet on Jawo's thighs here. He's pushed Jawo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Jawo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Nolan Martin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
