5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kevin Krukowski! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krukowski misses with a looping right. Krukowski stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Krukowski wants it to stay on the feet. Kingsley defending well as Krukowski loads up on a big left hand. Krukowski is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kingsley. Kingsley on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Robert Kingsley has been cut. Krukowski misses with a straight right. Kingsley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Krukowski defends it nicely. Krukowski looks to score with a jab to the body but Kingsley is just out of range. Kingsley fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Kingsley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Krukowski tries to clinch up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kingsley closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Krukowski quickly recovers to half guard. Kingsley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Krukowski has managed to free his arm - good work. Krukowski works his way to full guard. Good work. Kingsley trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Krukowski controlling Kingsley's posture. Kingsley won't allow Krukowski to sweep him here. Kingsley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Krukowski has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Krukowski tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krukowski seems keen to control Kingsley's posture.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Krukowski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Krukowski scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kingsley in his tracks. This has been an exciting period of action! Kingsley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Krukowski catches Kingsley napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Kingsley to the canvas!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Krukowski throwing strikes from guard but Kingsley blocks nicely. Krukowski throws a big elbow that misses. Krukowski working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Krukowski connects with a couple of short punches.
