Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Igor Varskinji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jacob Mason enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Igor Varskinji! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Mason! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Varskinji will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mason tries to clinch but Varskinji is having none of it. Mason tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mason is looking to clinch. Mason misses with a wild body shot. The fight stays on the outside here - Mason looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Varskinji gets a double leg takedown into Mason's guard. Mason wants to stand and escape but Varskinji is having none of it. Varskinji controlling from the top position. Varskinji has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Varskinji gets to his feet. Mason looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Mason closes the distance looking to clinch and Varskinji counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mason won't be happy with that. The ground and pound from Varskinji seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. You can see the frustration on Mason's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mason really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Varskinji. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Varskinji controlling from side mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Varskinji tries to move into full mount but can't pass Mason's legs. Varskinji is working hard here to advance position. Varskinji decides to stand back up. Varskinji steps back and let's Mason get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Varskinji misses with an attempted mid kick.
Varskinji closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mason did well to prevent Varskinji getting side control. Varskinji is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Varskinji controlling from the full mount. Mason is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Varskinji is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mason to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mason shrugs it off. Varskinji with a couple of short strikes. Varskinji stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mason misses with the combination.

and Varskinji counters into the clinch. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Igor Varskinji dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Mason tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Varskinji throws a sloppy head kick and Mason moves out of range easily. Varskinji gets a double leg takedown into Mason's guard. Varskinji not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Varskinji accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Varskinji looking to pass the guard. Varskinji is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

We're going to have a standup here because Igor Varskinji wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Varskinji is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Mason's half guard. Varskinji is keen to just control but Mason is a slippery customer. Mason pushes Varskinji off looking to stand but Varskinji dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Varskinji looking to finish Mason with some ground and pound. This is bad for Mason! Varskinji lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Mason hang on? Varskinji controlling from the full mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mason is trying to stand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Varskinji looking to control and managing it successfully. Varskinji working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Mason looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Varskinji! Submission of the night perhaps?
