Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Mcdonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Jingles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Mcdonald! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Jingles! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcdonald fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mcdonald feints and as Jingles raises his hands in defense, Mcdonald changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Mcdonald postures up.
Jingles is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcdonald trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mcdonald has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Mcdonald controls from within his opponent's guard. Mcdonald wants to control from the top but Jingles keeps moving. Mcdonald slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mcdonald accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jingles has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcdonald can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Mcdonald seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Mcdonald stopping the sweep attempt from Jingles. Jingles looks gassed! Jingles is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jingles strikes from his own guard. Mcdonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Jingles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Jingles avoids the head kick by Mcdonald.
Mcdonald scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Mcdonald is thwarting Jingles's attempts to control the position. Mcdonald controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jingles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mcdonald is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jingles knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Jingles is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mcdonald scores with a couple of nice shots. Jingles wants to get back to full guard. Mcdonald takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mcdonald moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Jingles.
Mcdonald controls the position. Mcdonald stands up and we're back to a striking position. Mcdonald shoots in and bounces Jingles off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald lands a couple of decent looking shots. Mcdonald preventing the sweep. Mcdonald stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jingles swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jingles not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Steve Mcdonald dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jingles misses with a series of wild punches.
Mcdonald fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mcdonald. Mcdonald scores a takedown into full mount! Mcdonald prevents Jingles from getting the reversal. Jingles tries to hold on but Mcdonald postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcdonald fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mcdonald avoids the attempt from Jingles to control. Jingles manages to regain half guard. Good work. Mcdonald trying to control the pace. Jingles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mcdonald tries to stand and escape but Jingles is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mcdonald prevents Jingles from standing back up.
Jingles tries to get to full guard but Mcdonald has control of the leg. Jingles has hold of Mcdonald's hands but Mcdonald slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Jingles moves into full guard.
Jingles is trying to keep Mcdonald in close.
Jingles wants to sweep but no luck.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jingles stuffs the takedown. Jingles instigates a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jingles breaks from the clinch.
A bone on bone clash there as Mcdonald blocks the leg kick.
Jingles drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jingles lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Mcdonald down.
Steve Mcdonald overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mcdonald is trying to improve his position. Jingles is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mcdonald is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mcdonald is looking to regain half guard here but Jingles keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald pecks away with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Mcdonald can't do much from the bottom here. Mcdonald is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jingles asserts his dominance and retains side control. Jingles scoring with punches and elbows. Jingles wants to stand but Mcdonald has his arm trapped. Mcdonald manages to get back to half guard. Mcdonald on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mcdonald tries to get out of the position. Mcdonald throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Jingles showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Jingles doesn't manage to clinch there - Mcdonald circles away.
Mcdonald is looking to clinch but Jingles is avoiding it.
Mcdonald gets the takedown into side control. A lull in the action here as Mcdonald stalls from top position. Jingles tries to buck Mcdonald off but Mcdonald is having none of it. Mcdonald controls the position. Mcdonald is chipping away with strikes.
The referee asks Mcdonald politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mcdonald prefers to stall for the moment though. Mcdonald grinds an elbow into Jingles's temple. Jingles takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mcdonald trying to control the action but Jingles is working from the bottom. Mcdonald working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcdonald lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Jingles down.
Jingles manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Nice strikes from Mcdonald there. Jingles throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Jingles works his way to full guard. Good work. Jingles is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Mcdonald trying to control the position from guard on top but Jingles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jingles looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mcdonald is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald wants to stand but Jingles is controlling his posture from full guard. Jingles looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mcdonald puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Mcdonald tries to pass to full mount but Jingles defends it. Mcdonald landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jingles has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mcdonald is working away from the top position though. Jingles wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald stalling. Jingles gets back to full guard.
Mcdonald landing some decent shots from guard. Jingles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jingles pushes Mcdonald off and gets back to his feet.
Mcdonald tries for a takedown but Jingles circles away easily and Jingles counters with a thumping low kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcdonald throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jingles counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Mcdonald! Jingles jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Mcdonald manages to avoid the submission attempt. Mcdonald throws Jingles to one side and escapes! Mcdonald rushes Jingles and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mcdonald tries to break the clinch but Jingles is controlling the position. Mcdonald has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jingles avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Jingles throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mcdonald blocks it with crossed arms. Jingles prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Steve Mcdonald. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mcdonald drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mcdonald is working for takedown but Jingles is calmly controlling the position for now.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Steve Mcdonald. I think Mcdonald has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
