0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steven Gracie! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Silva sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Silva looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Silva stands up and beckons Gracie to join him on the feet. Silva gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Gracie takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Steven Gracie has been cut. Silva is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gracie gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Silva wants to stall.

Silva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gracie, up you get! Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silva.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva tries to clinch up. Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silva counters with a single leg into guard. Gracie didn't expect that. Silva has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracie is proving hard to escape from. Silva preventing the sweep. Gracie being controlled here, momentarily. Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard. Silva wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his posture from full guard. Gracie has his feet on Silva's thighs here. He's pushed Silva off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Silva screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
