Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hong Man Choi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kimmo Lisko!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lisko takes one to the chin there.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Lisko.
Choi throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Lisko in side control lands a decent elbow.
Choi is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lisko connects with a decent elbow.
Lisko in the domination position with Choi hanging on.
Lisko prevents Choi from escaping the position.
Lisko landing strikes.
Choi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lisko on the ground.
Choi takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Choi is looking to regain half guard here but Lisko keeps moving and retains side control.

Lisko thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lisko landing strikes.
Choi throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Lisko tries for a kimura but Choi is defending well.
Choi throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lisko in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Choi is trying to control Lisko's posture but Lisko avoids it.
Choi prevents Lisko from improving position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lisko is looking to take a break and control but Choi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
You can see the frustration on Choi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Choi is trying to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Nice takedown defense from Choi. No joy for Lisko on that attempt.
Choi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


Lisko is rocked!
Lisko looks gassed!

Choi has Lisko up against the cage in a clinch.
Lisko is still on wobbly legs! Can Choi finish him?

Choi breaks the clinch.
Lisko seems to have recovered his senses.
Choi stuffs the takedown attempt from Lisko. Lisko gets slowly back to his feet.
Choi drops Lisko with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Lisko! Choi dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hong Man Choi!
