Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kari Peippo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Lontrame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peippo comes to the cage accompanied by Public Enemy - Terminator X to the Edge of Panic . Lontrame has chosen Knife Party by Deftones as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peippo misses with a body shot
letting Lontrame counter with a right hand.

Lontrame is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Peippo.
Peippo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lontrame swivels and escapes.

Peippo closes the distance and clinches up with Lontrame, looking for a takedown. Peippo pushes Lontrame against the cage but Lontrame circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Peippo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lontrame tries to avoid it but Peippo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lontrame to the ground. Lontrame escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Lontrame counters with a nice low kick that buckles Peippo's knee momentarily.

Lontrame tries to land a front kick but Peippo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Peippo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lontrame defends well.

Peippo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lontrame on the side of the head.
Lontrame takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Peippo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lontrame!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Peippo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kari Peippo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
