Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Sousa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aah Aah Ey Ey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ey Ey gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sousa to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Sousa would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Sousa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ey Ey on the ground.
Ey Ey has his foot on Sousa's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sousa works his way back into a safe position though.

Sousa wanted to stand there but Ey Ey had control of the position.
Sousa wants to pass the guard but Ey Ey is keeping the position.
Sousa stands and steps away. Ey Ey gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ey Ey tries for a takedown but Sousa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Ey Ey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sousa sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ey Ey somewhat.

Sousa throws the kick towards the body but Ey Ey avoids it.
Ey Ey will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Matheus Sousa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aah Aah Ey Ey.

Sousa thows a body kick. Ey Ey tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Ey Ey has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Ey Ey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sousa is fending him off so far but Ey Ey persists. Nope, Sousa circles away and we're back to standing.

Sousa is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ey Ey can't fight it off and eventually Sousa manages to take the fight to the floor. Ey Ey looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sousa is looking to stand up but Ey Ey won't let him.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ey Ey working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sousa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sousa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Sousa pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ey Ey shoots in and gets a takedown into Sousa's guard.
Ey Ey drops back looking for a leg! Sousa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sousa manages to kick Ey Ey off! Ey Ey jumps back into Sousa's guard.

Ey Ey is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Ey Ey postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sousa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ey Ey, into his guard.
Sousa wants to stand but Ey Ey is controlling his posture from full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sousa stands up and waves to Ey Ey to follow him.
Sousa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ey Ey napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sousa decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ey Ey to his feet.
Ey Ey shoots in looking for a takedown. Sousa tries to sprawl out of it but Ey Ey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sousa manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sousa misses with a head kick.
Sousa feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ey Ey shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sousa sprawls well. Sousa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ey Ey gets slowly back to his feet.

Sousa jumps guard and drags Ey Ey to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Ey Ey drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sousa looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sousa looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sousa!
Sousa is trying to get an arm triangle but Ey Ey is defending well.

Sousa decides to stand back up. Sousa steps back and let's Ey Ey get back to his feet.
Sousa has taken the fight to the clinch.

Sousa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Sousa drives through with a takedown into Ey Ey's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Ey Ey has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sousa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sousa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sousa is looking to work some ground and pound but Ey Ey has wrist control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
