Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter McCool (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Furious George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCool's entrance music is I'm Shipping Up to Boston. A fine choice. George has chosen Lamb of God - Descending as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Peter McCool!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Furious George!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

George scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
George scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCool can't escape the position.

McCool tries to lock up and control but George gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

George has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

George has control of McCool's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McCool regains control of the situation pretty easily.

George is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. McCool can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
George fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

McCool seems to have got his legs back now.
McCool takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

George goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now McCool is on top in guard.

George is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McCool defends well.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McCool cracks George with a solid left hand.

Furious George dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


George catches McCool with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

McCool scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. George doesn't seem bothered though.
McCool throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

McCool fakes high and swings low for a body shot but George manages to avoid it.
The fighters circling - McCool throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
George jabs McCool right on the nose. McCool blinks but takes it well.
Furious George seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCool misses the shot to the body.

George drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McCool manages to work his way to half guard, despite George's best efforts.
McCool slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

George has gone for a leg lock! McCool slips out almost immediately though and dives into George's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Peter McCool will probably get the nod.
