Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Stryker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esko Takanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stryker comes to the cage accompanied by Die Motherfucker Die. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Stryker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

30 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Esko Takanen!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takanen works the jab nicely.
Takanen throws a body kick that misses
enabling Stryker to counter with a crisp jab.
Stryker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Takanen checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Takanen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A head kick misses from Stryker.
Stryker connects with a leg kick. Takanen looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Takanen blocks a head kick by Stryker.
Stryker throws a front kick aimed at Takanen's knee but Takanen avoids it well.
Stryker throws a head kick that half lands.
Takanen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stryker throws a hook but Takanen blocks it.
Stryker feints and then cracks Takanen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Takanen down.

Stryker goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Stryker fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Takanen misses with a hook. Stryker ducked under it nicely.
Takanen feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Stryker's calf.

Takanen connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Takanen misses with an uppercut. Stryker saw that one coming.

Stryker tries for a takedown but Takanen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Takanen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Takanen swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Takanen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

A looping hook to the body misses from Takanen. Stryker does a little dance to reset his feet.

Stryker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Takanen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No joy there for Takanen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A nice inside leg kick there by Takanen. That's going to slow Stryker down.
Stryker tries a head kick but it misses.
Stryker will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Stryker lands a nice shot to the body.
Stryker slips under a jab.
Takanen feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Strykers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Stryker clinches with his opponent.
Takanen wants to get back to striking at distance but Stryker won't allow it.
Stryker can't find room to land a body shot as Takanen controls the action.
Takanen is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Stryker misses with a punch on the inside.

Takanen lands a body punch in the clinch.
Takanen tries to throw a body punch but Stryker avoids it by throwing Takanen back against the cage.
Stryker misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Stryker using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
A right hook to the body lands for Takanen.
Takanen lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Stryker throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Takanen looking to throw knees to the head but Stryker is blocking nicely.

Stryker gets through Takanen's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Takanen works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Stryker swings wildly with an uppercut but Takanen uses good head movement to avoid it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Takanen struggles to land a body shot inside as Stryker controls his hands.
Takanen misses with the head strike.
Takanen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A lazy left from Takanen finds it's target.
Stryker throws out a powerful jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Takanen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Stryker.
A good leg kick by Takanen.
Esko Takanen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stryker throws a lazy head kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Takanen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stryker manages to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Esko Takanen dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Takanen misses with a jab to the body
and Stryker cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Stryker throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Takanen throws a sloppy head kick and Stryker moves out of range easily.
Takanen throws a low kick but it's checked well by Stryker.
Stryker wants to clinch up but Takanen keeps it at a distance.
Stryker throws a leg kick that is checked
and Takanen counters with a thumping low kick.
Takanen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Takanen lands a big head kick that sends Stryker tumbling to the mat! Takanen takes a step backwards and waves Stryker back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Takanen drops Stryker with a huge uppercut! Stryker drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Takanen is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
