Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slayter lands with an uppercut that bounces Gracie off the cage and back into range.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Slayter circles away easily
and Gracie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slayter is trying to get back to half guard.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Gracie is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Slayter is trying to escape and Gracie transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Slayter is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gracie! Very nice indeed!

Ricardo Gracie spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
