The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faceman throws a nice inside leg kick. Faceman clinches up against the cage. Soto breaks the clinch.
Soto scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Soto wants to lay and pray for a moment but Faceman keeps working. Faceman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Soto is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Faceman sees it coming and defends easily. Faceman wants to control but Soto is keeping busy and won't allow it. Faceman is looking to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Faceman wants to get back to full guard but Soto has passed into side control. Faceman regains half guard. Soto is looking to advance position but Faceman won't allow it. Soto working over Faceman with some ground and pound. Faceman looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Faceman gets back to full guard.

Soto trying to control the position from guard on top but Faceman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Soto trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Soto trying to control but Faceman is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Soto thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Soto wants to control from the top but Faceman keeps moving. Faceman lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Soto! Faceman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Faceman looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Faceman misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Faceman is in the full mount, landing strikes. Oh Soto is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Faceman misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Faceman pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Faceman lands with some strikes. Faceman drops a big elbow. That's hurt Soto! More shots from Faceman and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

A very excited looking Burnt Faceman made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
