Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Janos Prohaska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Parfait PrudHomme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). PrudHomme has chosen Chanson des bons Légumes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Janos Prohaska has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Janos Prohaska! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Parfait PrudHomme! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! PrudHomme darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Prohaska trying to hold on to PrudHomme's head to control him but PrudHomme postures up.
PrudHomme thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. PrudHomme not landing any meaningful shots this time. Prohaska is concentrating on defense, preventing PrudHomme from advancing position. Prohaska tries to get to full guard but PrudHomme has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. PrudHomme thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Prohaska's head. Prohaska slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. PrudHomme wants to control from the top but Prohaska keeps moving. Prohaska will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Prohaska has control of PrudHomme's left arm, preventing PrudHomme from doing any damage. Prohaska bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in PrudHomme's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. PrudHomme working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Prohaska. Prohaska is looking to work some ground and pound but PrudHomme has wrist control. Prohaska pushes down on PrudHomme's leg and manages to get into half guard. Ground and pound from Prohaska. PrudHomme regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Prohaska. Prohaska postures up and lands a big shot to PrudHomme's brow. PrudHomme utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. PrudHomme really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prohaska. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. PrudHomme preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Prohaska looking to sit in guard and control but PrudHomme gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Prohaska pulls PrudHomme in close to prevent any damage. Prohaska keeping moving, preventing PrudHomme from controlling successfully. Prohaska manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Prohaska wants to control the pace but PrudHomme is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prohaska controlling from mount. PrudHomme wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Prohaska.
Prohaska with shots to the head and body - PrudHomme looks very uncomfortable down there. Prohaska unloads with some shots from mount but PrudHomme bucks and avoids them well.

This has been an exciting period of action! Prohaska throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for PrudHomme because Prohaska loaded up on that one. Prohaska has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. PrudHomme wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Prohaska.

Prohaska has control of PrudHomme's left arm, preventing PrudHomme from doing any damage. Prohaska bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in PrudHomme's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Prohaska missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Prohaska throws a big right hand that misses. Prohaska postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. PrudHomme is looking to stand up but Prohaska isn't so interested in that idea.
That's one minute gone in the round. Prohaska wants to control from the top but PrudHomme keeps moving. Prohaska throws a strike but PrudHomme rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. PrudHomme wants to stand and escape but instead Prohaska has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Prohaska slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Prohaska is looking to work some ground and pound but PrudHomme has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Prohaska looking to pass the guard. Prohaska looking to sit in guard and control but PrudHomme gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. PrudHomme is fighting to break Prohaska's control of his arms but Prohaska is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Prohaska looking to sweep here. No luck so far. PrudHomme wants to control from the top but Prohaska keeps moving. PrudHomme makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Prohaska manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. PrudHomme manages to get himself to full guard.

Prohaska throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as PrudHomme works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Prohaska trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Prohaska working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Prohaska is in close to PrudHomme's body, working some short punches and elbows. Prohaska stands up over PrudHomme, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. PrudHomme trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Prohaska working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of PrudHomme's head. Prohaska landing with the ground and pound. Prohaska postures up in PrudHomme's guard and throws a big left but PrudHomme blocks it. Prohaska trying to control but PrudHomme is working from the bottom. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Prohaska postures up in PrudHomme's guard and throws a big left but PrudHomme blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

PrudHomme leaves Prohaska with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Prohaska gets caught flat footed, as PrudHomme shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Prohaska is on top in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Janos Prohaska. Prohaska throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Prohaska throws a combination but it was largely blocked by PrudHomme. PrudHomme tries to clinch but Prohaska moves away and Prohaska counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Prohaska lands with a hook. PrudHomme tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. PrudHomme tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Prohaska paws at him with a jab and circles away. Prohaska misses with a body kick. PrudHomme looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Janos Prohaska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Prohaska swats away the attempt to clinch by PrudHomme. Prohaska throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A head kick from Prohaska lands but PrudHomme takes it in his stride. PrudHomme tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Prohaska manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Prohaska is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that PrudHomme can do to turn this around? A chopping leg kick lands by Prohaska. PrudHomme is looking to clinch. Prohaska misses the shot to the body. Parfait PrudHomme has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! PrudHomme tries to close the distance and clinch but Prohaska swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Prohaska throws a sloppy head kick and PrudHomme counters with a single leg into guard. Prohaska didn't expect that. Janos Prohaska is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! PrudHomme working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. PrudHomme must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Prohaska manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Prohaska takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Prohaska landing shots from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Janos Prohaska showed his dominance in that final round. Well Prohaska has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
