Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Serraty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michel Rodalgo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Serraty comes into the arena with BEAST blaring out of the sound system. Rodalgo is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ace of Spades - By Motorhead. Marcos Serraty could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Michel Rodalgo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcos Serraty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michel Rodalgo! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodalgo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Serraty tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rodalgo was well out of range. Poor timing from Serraty. Rodalgo scores with a hook to the body. Serraty takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Serraty moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Rodalgo fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Sloppy strikes from Rodalgo. Those never looked like landing. Rodalgo shoots for a double leg takedown but Serraty sprawls well. He's pushed Rodalgo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. The fighters circling - Serraty throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Rodalgo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Serraty. Serraty keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rodalgo tries to score with a low kick but Serraty moves his leg out of the way. Serraty fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rodalgo manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodalgo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Serraty lands with a cross. Rodalgo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Rodalgo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rodalgo ducks under a wild hook from Serraty. Michel Rodalgo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slow jab from Rodalgo misses its intended target. Rodalgo darts in and clinches Serraty up against the cage. Rodalgo struggles to land a body shot inside as Serraty controls his hands.
A frustrated look appears on Serraty's face as he tries to break the clinch. Serraty tries to work over Rodalgo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Serraty fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Rodalgo has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Serraty regains guard immediately.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodalgo scoring with some ground and pound. Rodalgo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rodalgo throwing strikes from guard but Serraty blocks nicely. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rodalgo lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rodalgo advances position into side control! Rodalgo in side control lands a decent elbow. A lull in the action here. Rodalgo sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Serraty is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Rodalgo in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodalgo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Rodalgo working the ground and pound but Serraty is defending the strikes. Serraty is breathing heavily. Rodalgo lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Serraty down.
Serraty parries the strikes from Rodalgo easily there. Rodalgo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Serraty to escape.
Rodalgo throws an elbow but Serraty slips to the side and avoids it well. Serraty is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rodalgo connects with a decent elbow. Rodalgo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Serraty keeps working. Serraty takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rodalgo scores with punches from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Rodalgo seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Serraty knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodalgo on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Serraty is working to avoid the ground and pound but Rodalgo connects with a decent elbow.
Serraty is rocked! Rodalgo lands a few punches from side control. Oh Serraty is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Rodalgo scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Serraty is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Rodalgo can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michel Rodalgo! Michel Rodalgo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
