Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Ubereem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marek Jebut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alistair Ubereem! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Marek Jebut! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ubereem throws a leg kick and Jebut counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ubereem thinking. Jebut throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ubereem misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ubereem slips a jab from Jebut. A chopping leg kick lands by Ubereem. Jebut throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Jebut bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. You can see the frustration on Ubereem's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jebut working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Ubereem regains half guard. Jebut is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ubereem has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jebut looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Ubereem on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ubereem tries to get out of the position. Jebut wants to pass to mount but Ubereem is defending the position. Ubereem trying to control here.
Jebut controlling the action here. Let's hope that Jebut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Jebut is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Ubereem sees it coming and defends easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jebut looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jebut is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ubereem wants to get back to full guard. Jebut wants to control but Ubereem is keeping him busy. Jebut looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ubereem is trying to control but Jebut passes into side control!
Ubereem prevents Jebut from improving position. Ubereem is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jebut throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Ubereem taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ubereem can't do much from the bottom here. Jebut tries for a kimura but Ubereem is defending well. Jebut landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Jebut cracks Ubereem with an elbow. That is naaassty. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jebut wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ubereem keeps working. Jebut creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ubereem sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jebut controlling the position. Jebut looks up at the clock and then as Ubereem takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Jebut smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marek Jebut dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Jebut avoids the head kick by Ubereem.
Jebut misses with a straight right. Nice defenses there by Ubereem. Ubereem tries to land a leg kick but Jebut saw it coming and moves away.
Ubereem lands a nice looking kick to the body. Jebut takes a step back to recover. A momentary lapse in concentration from Ubereem enables Jebut to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Ubereem manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ubereem seems keen to control Jebut's posture. Jebut trying to control but Ubereem is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jebut's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jebut passes into half guard. Jebut landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Ubereem has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jebut is working away from the top position though. Jebut trying to control the action but Ubereem is working from the bottom. Jebut has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Ubereem is trying to get back to full guard. Jebut controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ubereem wants to get back to full guard. Jebut wants to control but Ubereem is keeping him busy. Jebut lands strikes from half guard. Jebut thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ubereem's head. Jebut takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jebut throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ubereem trying to control here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jebut missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jebut sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ubereem defending well though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Jebut is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Jebut prevents Ubereem from improving his position. Jebut controlling the action here. Jebut in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ubereem tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jebut!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marek Jebut! Marek Jebut is the new middleweight champion! After winning the bout, Marek Jebut thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
