Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Punchd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Punchd's choice of entrance music: For a Reason by Joe Budden. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Swanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Juan Punchd! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swanson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Punchd. Punchd obviously looking to wear him down.
Punchd throws a right hand that Swanson ducks under and follows up with a left that Swanson also avoids with ease. Punchd misses with an uppercut. Juan Punchd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Punchd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Swanson tries to avoid it but Punchd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Swanson to the ground. Swanson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Punchd. Swanson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Punchd throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Swanson throws a nice looking combination but Punchd bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Punchd wants to clinch and Swanson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Swanson throws a right hand that Punchd ducks under and follows up with a left that Punchd also avoids with ease. Swanson pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Punchd will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's going to take a lot out of Juan Punchd. Swanson looks to land a right hand but Punchd moved out of range. Punchd ducks under a wild hook from Swanson. Swanson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Punchd gets slowly back to his feet. Swanson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swanson keeps the fight on the outside. Punchd with a lazy takedown attempt and Swanson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Swanson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Punchd sees it coming and avoids it easily. Swanson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Punchd.
Punchd fails with the takedown. Punchd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Swanson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Punchd landing strikes from the mount and Swanson is in trouble! Swanson blocking the ground and pound. Swanson is rocked! Punchd scoring with strikes but Swanson is staying in there. Oh Swanson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Punchd takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Punchd looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Swanson covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
