Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nutty Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poe's entrance music is All About the Roosevelts. A fine choice. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Chad Campbell and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poe avoids a kick to the body.
Escobar shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Poe's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Escobar prevents Poe from getting back to his feet.
Escobar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Escobar decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Poe, up you get!
Poe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Poe shoots for a double leg takedown but Escobar sprawls well. He's pushed Poe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Poe is keen to just control but Escobar is a slippery customer.

Poe tries to clinch up but Escobar circles away and keeps his distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Poe uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Escobar has time to react.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nutty Poe.
