Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scott Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Esteban Colberto!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colberto shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Colberto dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Colberto's head and hops out.
Colberto tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.
Silva throws a poor cross that misses
and Colberto counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Colberto to acknowledge the strikes.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Colberto is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Colberto scores with the left hand. Silva knows he should have avoided that one.
Colberto throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Colberto lands a big head kick that sends Silva tumbling to the mat! Colberto takes a step backwards and waves Silva back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Silva is rocked!
It looks like Scott Silva has been cut.
Colberto fails in his attempt to clinch.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Colberto is looking to clinch.
Colberto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silva avoids it really well and circles away.
Scott Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Esteban Colberto.
Colberto doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.
Colberto is trying hard to land a takedown here. Silva sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Colberto moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Colberto is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Silva hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
