Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mansur Abdel Salam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Omaly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Abdel Salam might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to PRO PAIN - SHINE. The crowd seem to be enjoying Omaly's choice of entrance music: Outside - To Forgive but not Forget . Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mansur Abdel Salam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Omaly! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Omaly showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Abdel Salam.
Omaly on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Omaly drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Abdel Salam not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Omaly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Abdel Salam swivels though and keeps the full guard. Omaly throws a big elbow that misses. Omaly passes easily into side control. Nice work. Abdel Salam prevents Omaly from improving position. Omaly creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Abdel Salam sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Abdel Salam wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
That's one minute gone in the round. Omaly tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Abdel Salam tries to buck Omaly off but Omaly is having none of it. Omaly trying to control the position but Abdel Salam is working away. Omaly creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Abdel Salam sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Omaly is putting a hurting on Abdel Salam here, landing some big shots from side control. Omaly looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Abdel Salam is avoiding damage well.
Omaly prevents Abdel Salam from escaping the position. Omaly looks up at the clock and then as Abdel Salam takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Omaly smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
It looks like Mansur Abdel Salam has been cut. Omaly connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Abdel Salam some visible discomfort.
Mansur Abdel Salam's cut is getting worse. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Abdel Salam regains half guard, as Omaly was trying to land strikes. Abdel Salam is staying active underneath Omaly, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Omaly looks to land a strike but Abdel Salam avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Omaly has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Omaly wants to control from the top but Abdel Salam keeps moving. Abdel Salam controlling the position. Omaly throwing strikes from guard but Abdel Salam blocks nicely. Omaly is working Abdel Salam over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Omaly is looking to work some ground and pound but Abdel Salam has wrist control. Omaly postures up in Abdel Salam's guard and throws a big left but Abdel Salam blocks it. Omaly postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Omaly wants to control from the top but Abdel Salam keeps moving. Abdel Salam looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Omaly works a leg free and moves into half guard. Omaly trying to control the action but Abdel Salam is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abdel Salam wants to get back to his feet.
Omaly is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Abdel Salam defends it well. Abdel Salam wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Abdel Salam is defending against the submission attempts here by Omaly.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Omaly not landing any meaningful shots this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Omaly dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mansur Abdel Salam's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Omaly looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mark Omaly has got the better of the ground game so far. Abdel Salam wants to get back to full guard. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Omaly. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Abdel Salam pushes Omaly off looking to stand but Omaly dives back in and keeps control.
Omaly thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Abdel Salam's head. Abdel Salam tries to kick Omaly off but Omaly keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Omaly is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Abdel Salam sees it coming and defends easily. Omaly throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Omaly misses with a head shot. Abdel Salam uses the momentum to regain guard. Omaly stands and throws Abdel Salam's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abdel Salam is working to avoid the ground and pound but Omaly connects with a decent elbow.
Mansur Abdel Salam's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Omaly is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Abdel Salam has escaped the position, nice work there. Omaly swings around for an armbar but Abdel Salam sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Omaly's guard. Abdel Salam wants to pass the guard but Omaly is keeping the position. Omaly throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Omaly working for a triangle but Abdel Salam defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Abdel Salam decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. No joy there for Abdel Salam, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Abdel Salam thows a left - swing and a miss! Abdel Salam uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Omaly. A looping hook to the body misses from Abdel Salam. Omaly does a little dance to reset his feet. Abdel Salam throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Abdel Salam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Omaly circles away quickly and effectively. Abdel Salam swings for the body but Omaly moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Omaly swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Omaly feints and as Abdel Salam raises his hands in defense, Omaly changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Omaly cracks Abdel Salam with a solid left hand.
Jeez, Mansur Abdel Salam's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mansur Abdel Salam's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mark Omaly! After winning the bout, Mark Omaly thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
