The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rivera showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Cunnings actively working from the bottom here.
Cunnings is pressing down on Rivera's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rivera is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cunnings is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cunnings has escaped and now he's on top!
Rivera is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cunnings has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rivera has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Cunnings should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rivera has tightened it up now! Cunnings should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
