Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evgeniy Marinoykin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex McTur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marinoykin shoots in and bounces McTur off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Marinoykin looking to pass the guard.
Marinoykin wants to control from the top but McTur keeps moving.
Marinoykin is looking to work some ground and pound but McTur has wrist control.
Marinoykin wants to pass the guard but McTur is keeping the position.
Marinoykin stays in close to McTur's body and controls the position.
Marinoykin tries to free his leg and advance position but McTur is retaining full guard.

McTur can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Marinoykin controls the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Evgeniy Marinoykin.
McTur lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Marinoykin backs up against the cage.

Marinoykin looking to score a takedown here. McTur is defending well but Marinoykin drives through and ends up in McTur's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marinoykin working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McTur's head.
Marinoykin is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Marinoykin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Marinoykin wants to pass the guard but McTur is keeping the position.
Marinoykin passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Marinoykin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McTur has escaped the position, nice work there.
Marinoykin in side control, throwing shots but McTur defends.

Marinoykin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McTur, who protects the arm well.

Marinoykin looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marinoykin working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Marinoykin in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Marinoykin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marinoykin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McTur is looking to clinch.
Marinoykin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from McTur.
McTur is looking to clinch but Marinoykin is avoiding it.
McTur will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
McTur with a hook.
Marinoykin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Marinoykin gets the takedown into side control.

Marinoykin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, McTur has escaped the position, nice work there.

Marinoykin content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Evgeniy Marinoykin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Marinoykin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marinoykin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The referee asks Marinoykin politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Marinoykin prefers to stall for the moment though.

McTur tries to buck Marinoykin off but Marinoykin is having none of it.
Marinoykin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McTur will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Marinoykin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McTur is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Marinoykin trying to control the action but McTur is working from the bottom.
Marinoykin controls the position.

Marinoykin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Marinoykin in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... McTur is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
