Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edmund Kaufmann! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Jordan! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaufmann waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Jordan. Jordan dodges the punch combination from Kaufmann.
Jordan looks for the body kick but Kaufmann saw that one coming. A combination from Jordan does no damage. Jordan throws a series of punches but Kaufmann moves out of range. Jordan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kaufmann throws a right hand that Jordan ducks under and follows up with a left that Jordan also avoids with ease. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jordan throws a series of punches but Kaufmann avoids them all with ease. Jordan steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kaufmann. Nice sprawl there from Kaufmann as Jordan shoots in. Jordan is looking to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jordan lands a jab-cross combination. Jordan lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jordan throws a low kick but Kaufmann avoids it. Kaufmann avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kaufmann looks to land a left hand but Jordan moved out of range nicely. Kaufmann misses with a takedown and Jordan counters with a one-two to the body. Jordan lands a two punch combo.

and Jordan counters with a series of strikes. Kaufmann will be more careful next time no doubt. Kaufmann misses with a body kick. Jordan lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jordan. Jordan slips a straight right by Kaufmann. Jordan is working the combinations to good effect here. Kaufmann shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jordan pinned against the cage. Jordan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jordan gets a takedown into half guard. Kaufmann is looking for a sweep. Jordan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jordan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kaufmann is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Jordan pulls his head out easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jordan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kaufmann is staying active underneath Jordan, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kaufmann is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jordan is tying to control. Kaufmann wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kaufmann won't allow Jordan to pass to mount.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Kaufmann throws an overhand right that lands on Jordan's shoulder, as Jordan tries to avoid the shot. Kaufmann shoots for a takedown but Jordan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edmund Kaufmann. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jordan cracks Kaufmann with a good jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kaufmann doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Jordan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kaufmann checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Kaufmann throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jordan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kaufmann misses with a straight right. Jordan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Jordan tries to clinch but Kaufmann is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Jordan scores with a one two! Kaufmann had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Jordan misses with a series of wild punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke Jordan dominated that round. That's time! Kaufmann's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jordan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jordan scores with a one two! Kaufmann had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. The fight stays on the outside here - Kaufmann looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kaufmann gets cracked there but stands up to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jordan throws a nice looking combination but Kaufmann bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kaufmann throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. A nice combination there by Jordan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaufmann misses with a straight left. Kaufmann misses with a looping right. Kaufmann feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kaufmann throwing strikes from guard but Jordan blocks nicely. Kaufmann scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kaufmann gets to his feet - Jordan follows without any prompting. Kaufmann avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kaufmann takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jordan throws out a powerful jab. Kaufmann throws a looping overhand right but Jordan ducks down to avoid it. Nice sprawl there from Kaufmann as Jordan shoots in. A lazy left from Jordan finds it's target. Jordan moves out of range as Kaufmann strikes. Jordan closes the distance and lands a one-two. Jordan falls off balance throwing a combination
so Kaufmann counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. This has been an exciting period of action! Jordan is looking to stand up but Kaufmann isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaufmann postures up.
Jordan wants to stand and escape but Kaufmann is having none of it. Jordan is breathing heavily. Kaufmann keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jordan's head. Jordan wants to stand but Kaufmann is controlling the position. Jordan pulls Kaufmann in close to prevent any damage. Jordan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kaufmann. Kaufmann wants to take a breather but Jordan is having none of it. Kaufmann trying to control the pace.

Jordan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kaufmann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ground and pound from Kaufmann. Kaufmann stops Jordan from getting back to his feet.

Kaufmann decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Kaufmann shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jordan counters with a two punch combo. Horrible takedown by Jordan or perhaps it was just good defense by Kaufmann which made him look bad. Kaufmann misses with a double jab
and Jordan counters with a one-two to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edmund Kaufmann dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Kaufmann throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jordan. Jordan works over Kaufmann's head and body with a nice combination. Kaufmann misses with a body punch
and Jordan counters with a nice body shot. Jordan with a poor takedown and Kaufmann counters with a series of strikes. Jordan will be more careful next time no doubt. Danga de danga de dang - Jordan scores with a four punch combination! Kaufmann fails with the takedown and Jordan counters with a two punch combo. Kaufmann keeps the fight on the outside. A punch combination from Jordan misses. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Jordan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jordan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kaufmann shoots in for a takedown but Jordan shows good takedown defense. Kaufmann swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jordan counters with a series of strikes. Kaufmann will be more careful next time no doubt. Jordan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kaufmann. Kaufmann circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kaufmann looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Jordan throws a nice looking combination but Kaufmann bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Kaufmann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edmund Kaufmann. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jordan scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Jordan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kaufmann throws a hook but Jordan avoids it easily. Kaufmann closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jordan to the mat! Jordan manages to get full guard. Kaufmann prevents Jordan from getting back to his feet. Jordan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaufmann wants to work for an arm triangle but Jordan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kaufmann seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jordan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jordan tries to roll over but Kaufmann keeps him under control. Jordan is looking to control Kaufmann's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jordan avoid being mounted? Jordan wants to get back to his feet. Jordan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kaufmann is working away from the top position though. Kaufmann stops Jordan from getting back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jordan works over Kaufmann's head and body with a nice combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jordan throws a series of punches but Kaufmann avoids them all with ease. Jordan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jordan's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jordan duly obliges. Kaufmann tries to clinch and Jordan counters with a stiff right hand. Jordan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kaufmann circles away. Jordan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kaufmann. Kaufmann falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jordan counters with a stiff right hand.
And that's the end of the fight! Edmund Kaufmann showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kaufmann has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
