Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brock Lesnar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nathan Explosion! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Explosion keeps the fight on the outside. Lesnar throws a low kick but it's checked well by Explosion. Lesnar scores with the left hand. Explosion knows he should have avoided that one. Lesnar has closed the distance and engaged Explosion in a clinch.
Lesnar is trying to break the clinch but Explosion has him pressed against the cage. Explosion can't get the takedown.
Lesnar scores with a hook to the body. Explosion has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lesnar clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Explosion throwing sloppy strikes. Lesnar wants to control his opponent's hands but Explosion gets his hands free. Explosion has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lesnar covering up well under a series of strikes from Explosion. Explosion throwing damaging strikes from the back! Lesnar could be in trouble here!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Explosion looking for the choke but no joy. Can Lesnar hold on?! Explosion is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Explosion avoiding Lesnar 's attempts to control his hands. Explosion lands shots from the back. Lesnar tries to roll but Explosion sticks to his back.
Lesnar trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Explosion throwing damaging strikes from the back! Lesnar could be in trouble here!
Lesnar trying to control but not successfully. Explosion lands strikes to the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Explosion is riding his opponent, not letting Lesnar buck him off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lesnar looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Explosion struggling to keep hold of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Explosion lands with a hammerfist to the side of Lesnar's head. Lesnar trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Explosion trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Lesnar doesn't escape. Explosion is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Explosion gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Explosion gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Explosion apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Lesnar is rocked! Explosion instigates a clinch. Oh Lesnar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Explosion escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lesnar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Explosion counters by clinching up. Lesnar seems to have got his legs back now. Explosion successfully pulls guard.
Explosion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Explosion is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lesnar being controlled here momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Lesnar tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Explosion counters with a big takedown. That's hurt Lesnar! Explosion smells blood and goes in for the kill. Serveral hard shots later and the ref calls an end to the fight by TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Nathan Explosion! Nathan Explosion was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
