Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Arthur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Rod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, William Arthur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timur Rod! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arthur throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rod was covering up waiting for the punch and Arthur finishes the takedown easily into guard. Rod looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Arthur scoring with some ground and pound. Arthur is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Arthur is stalling in the full guard. Arthur lands a couple of digs. Arthur controlling from the top position. Arthur is working Rod over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Arthur with a nice head shot there. Arthur scoring with some ground and pound. Rod really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Arthur. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Arthur connects with a couple of short punches. Arthur is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arthur drops back looking for a leg! Rod is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rod manages to kick Arthur off! Arthur jumps back into Rod's guard. Arthur wants to control from the top but Rod keeps moving. Arthur works over Rod with some ground and pound from guard. Arthur is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Arthur is working Rod over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Arthur slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Arthur will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Arthur trying to control the position from guard on top but Rod is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Arthur makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Arthur is working Rod over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arthur content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Arthur lands a couple of decent looking shots. Arthur with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Arthur sitting in guard, not really doing much. Arthur lands a couple of decent looking shots. Arthur has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Arthur scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Arthur lands a couple of elbows.
Rod is rocked! Arthur works over Rod with some ground and pound from guard. Arthur scoring with punches to the head and body. Rod is still in real trouble! Can Arthur finish him? Arthur showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Rod has momentary wrist control but Arthur slips an elbow through the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Arthur scoring with punches to the head and body. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Arthur's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Arthur is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Arthur chips away with some ground and pound. Arthur stands and steps away. Rod gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. William Arthur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arthur is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rod's half guard. Arthur working the head and body with strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Arthur seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Arthur seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Rod is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
