PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ardian Shiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Beam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Beam's choice of entrance music: Hollywood Undead - Everywhere I Go. Jim Beam told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Beam!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shiba tightens his grip and picks Beam up, before dumping him to the ground. Beam manages to land in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Beam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shiba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Shiba is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beam is just riding it out for now. Shiba eventually gives up the hold.
