And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stinson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lombard eats them both and turns towards Stinson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Mac Lombard has been cut.
Stinson scores with a three punch combo!
Stinson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Lombard rushes Stinson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Stinson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Barney Stinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some wild striking there from Stinson.
Stinson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lombard doesn't seem bothered though.
Stinson stalks Lombard and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lombard's face. Lombard staggers backwards, shaken.
Stinson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Stinson smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Stinson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Lombard walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

That has opened up Mac Lombard's cut even more.
Lombard shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stinson's guard.
Stinson is trying to control the position but Lombard postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lombard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Stinson is keeping the position for now.
Lombard is fighting to break Stinson's control of his arms but Stinson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Stinson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lombard!
Lombard wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Lombard trying to get back to his feet but Stinson is in full control for now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
You can see the frustration on Lombard's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Lombard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stinson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
