The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballswick misses with a right hand
and Genovese connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ballswick, as that shot connected.
Ballswick throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ballswick misses with a straight left.
Ballswick misses the body punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Ballswick swings widly with a right hand
and Genovese counters with a crisp one two that drops Ballswick! Genovese thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Ballswick to his feet! Ballswick is in big trouble!
Ballswick is rocked!
Hellson Ballswick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Genovese fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Ballswick square on the jaw! Damn, Ballswick is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chris Genovese!
After the fight, Chris Genovese was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
