Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calzaghe throws a looping overhand right but De Le Silvio ducks down to avoid it.
De Le Silvio instigates a clinch.
De Le Silvio pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Calzaghe throws a jab but it's blocked by De Le Silvio.
De Le Silvio closes the distance and clinches.

De Le Silvio connects with a nasty looking knee right to Calzaghe's face.
De Le Silvio keeps control of Calzaghe as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Calzaghe takes a knee right on the jaw!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Calzaghe tries to break free but De Le Silvio pushes him back against the cage.
Calzaghe has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
De Le Silvio connects with a nasty looking knee right to Calzaghe's face.

De Le Silvio with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Calzaghe can't break the clinch.
De Le Silvio tightens his grip and picks Calzaghe up, before dumping him to the ground. Calzaghe manages to land in guard.
De Le Silvio has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
De Le Silvio got a little sloppy there for a moment and Calzaghe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De Le Silvio has managed to get both his arms back between Calzaghe's legs - danger averted.
De Le Silvio is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Calzaghe has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. De Le Silvio is looking to defend but Calzaghe has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for De Le Silvio! Calzaghe pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, De Le Silvio taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Joe Calzaghe!
