The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manto closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kenny did well to prevent Manto getting side control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kenny looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Manto has Kenny pulled in close to control his posture. Manto trying to keep a closed guard but Kenny is proving a slippery customer.
The ref stands the fighters back up. George Manto was stalling too much, according to the referee. Kenny forces Manto back against the cage and clinches. Kenny has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Manto uses from the top position. Kenny working for a triangle but Manto defends it easily.

George Manto dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Manto throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kenny was covering up waiting for the punch and Manto finishes the takedown easily into guard. Manto trying to control but Kenny is working from the bottom. Manto is sitting in close to Kenny's body. Kenny has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Manto is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Manto is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kenny.
