The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asylum keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Asylum misses with a low kick.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Russell checks a leg kick.
Asylum connects with a leg kick. Russell looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Asylum tries to move into range but Russell moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Russell tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

No joy there for Asylum, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Asylum, right into the meat.
Russell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Asylum manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Russell throws a poor cross that misses

A jab from Asylum finds it's way through Russell's defenses.
Russell needs to keep his hands up - Asylum had a free shot at his head there.

Russell tries to close the distance and clinch but Asylum swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Russell moves out of range as Asylum throws a body kick.
Russell looks to land a left hand but Asylum moved out of range nicely.
Asylum connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Russell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Asylum is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Asylum turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Asylum scores with a sloppy right hand. Russell should have avoided that one.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Russell fails with an attempt to clinch.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Asylum lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Russell has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Russell and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Russell is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Asylum connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Russell momentarily.
Asylum will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Russell is rocked!
Russell leaves his chin hanging out and Asylum seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Russell crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
