Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Marquardt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bart Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simpson has chosen Give It Away as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nate Marquardt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bart Simpson!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marquardt fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Simpson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Simpson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marquardt dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Simpson. That did some damage!
Simpson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Marquardt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Marquardt buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Marquardt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Simpson swivels and escapes.
Marquardt dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Simpson. That did some damage!
Simpson fails to land with a series of punches.
Marquardt throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Simpson looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Marquardt.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Marquardt. Simpson shrugs it off though.
Simpson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A solid leg kick lands there for Marquardt.
Good leg kick by Marquardt there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Simpson looks to throw a body kick
and Marquardt counters with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Marquardt scores with a kick to the midsection.
Simpson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Marquardt.
Marquardt sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Simpson to the ground! Marquardt dives into full mount looking to finish!
Simpson is rocked!
Marquardt is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Simpson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Simpson is still in real trouble! Can Marquardt finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Marquardt has hold of Simpson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Simpson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Marquardt prevents Simpson from getting the reversal.
Marquardt is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Simpson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Simpson!
Simpson seems to have recovered his senses.
Simpson passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Simpson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marquardt's head.
Simpson tries to pass to full mount but Marquardt defends it.
Marquardt actively working from the bottom here.
Marquardt wants to get back to full guard.
Marquardt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Simpson is keen to just control but Marquardt is a slippery customer.
Marquardt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Simpson is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Marquardt misses with a low kick.
Marquardt tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Simpson swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nate Marquardt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Simpson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Marquardt - the referee stops the clock and Simpson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Marquardt. Simpson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
A nice leg kick lands there from Marquardt.
Simpson looks to land a combination but Marquardt avoids it well.
Simpson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Marquardt lands a high kick!
Marquardt misses with a head kick.
Simpson misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Marquardt counters with a slapping leg kick.
Marquardt connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Simpson throws the kick towards the body but Marquardt avoids it.
Simpson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marquardt feints and then cracks Simpson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Simpson down.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Marquardt scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Whack! Marquardt lands a heavy head kick that drops Simpson. The ref tackles Marquardt to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Simpson was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Nate Marquardt!
