The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Dusk.
Shanks connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Shanks throws the left hand but Dusk avoids the punch easily.
Dusk misses with an uppercut.
Dusk thows a body shot but no joy.
Shanks thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Dusk if he has to take too many more of those.
Shanks throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Dusk lunges at Shanks with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Shanks's hand.

It looks like Purple Haired Shanks has been cut.
Shanks blocks the body kick.
Shanks misses with a low kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shanks has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Dusk scores with a jab to the head.
Shanks misses with a body kick.
Shanks blocks a jab.
That kick from Shanks tenderised Dusk's leg. Dusk is trying to keep his angry face on.
A clash of legs there as Shanks blocks the low kick.
Shanks fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Dusk on the side of the head.
Dusk slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

That has opened up Purple Haired Shanks's cut even more.
Shanks lands with a shot to the body.
Dusk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dusk avoids the head kick by Shanks.
Shanks showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dusk.
Shanks moves out of range of the strikes.
Shanks misses with a right hand
and Dusk counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Dusk cracks Shanks with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Dusk throws a series of punches but Shanks moves out of range.
Dusk lands the left hand.
A head kick misses from Dusk.
Dusk misses with a head kick.
A jab from Dusk finds it's way through Shanks's defenses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dusk connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

The cut above Purple Haired Shanks's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Dusk blocks a jab.
Shanks misses with a head kick.
Dusk blocks the body kick.
Dusk thuds a left hand into Shanks's body.
Shanks looks gassed!
Dusk throws a right and a left that Shanks avoids nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dusk throws a nice looking combination but Shanks bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shanks throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A low kick from Shanks is predictable there
and Dusk counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Shanks tries a head kick but it misses.
Shanks takes a swing at Dusk's ribcage but misses.
Shanks takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Dusk displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Purple Haired Shanks's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Purple Haired Shanks's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
